Ideas and Drinks!
So i'm thinking when Chris gets back from the land down down under we should all catch up for a beer/ brainstorming session? Somewhere cheap in merry old melbourne?
as for times to meet up I should be free after boxing day until new years, and then probably the day after new years day (hopefully I will have come out of my shell of a hangover from new years by then :p).
I think Chris isn't back frorm Tassie until like mid Jan anyway so it wont be til around then. Don't worry, i'm pretty sure trying to go out the day after new years is suicidal!
Hey guys btw im not sure if i asked this question somewhere else, or if i dreamt about asking you guys, but i cant seem to find it anywhere :p. My question is does anyone have any ideas for what game engine we are thinking of using? Because it would be sweet to start using it over the holidays and figure out the ins and outs about it.
Last I heard we were thinking of using Unity, as a lot of us have a reasonable grasp on how to use it and it's really easy for us to implement models and things in. Is everyone else still in agreement with this?
Including you we have 6. The rest of us are artists/designers with chris and alex being very very art orientated. We all have a very basic knowledge of programming from using Unity ourselves but we're in no way experts XD.
As for Unity, I've been experimenting with effects and styles over the holidays whenever I have nothing to do (which, let's face it: is all the time). I made a cool looking cartoon/stylized fire with curly smoke and sparks. I'll see if I can upload a video or picture of it.
